We're partnering with a well-established organisation undertaking an exciting data and analytics transformation and are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer
to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.
This role will play a key part in delivering a backlog of high-priority reporting and analytics initiatives, helping to build scalable data models and empower the business with meaningful insights.

What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop dimensional data models using best-practice methodologies
- Create and maintain semantic models within Power BI
- Build intuitive dashboards and reports that drive business decision-making
- Work across the Microsoft Fabric platform to deliver modern analytics solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting outcomes
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across reporting assets
- Support the ongoing uplift of the organisation's analytics capability
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with dimensional modelling (Kimball / Star Schema)
- Advanced Power BI development skills, including DAX and semantic modelling
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience managing and delivering reporting backlogs
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Experience with Azure Data Services
- Data engineering exposure across modern cloud platforms
- Understanding of data governance and self-service analytics principles
